Extreme Q & A

Here, you will find a bunch of crazy Questions and Answers that are designed to make you think about the Laws of the Game and how to apply them.  Be sure to check back regularly, as I will be adding questions periodically, as I get them.

Q1:

Blue is awarded a corner kick.  As Blue is setting up for the restart, #6 goes toward his bench to have  chat with his coach, which starts to get heated and turns into an argument.  While the corner kick is taken and play is restarted, #6 (while still on the FOP) recklessly throws a water bottle at his coach and returns to join the play.  Meanwhile, a goal is scored during this incident.  While signalling that a goal has been scored, your assistant referee tells you that Blue #6 recklessly threw a water bottle at his coach.  What do you do???

Q2:

Goal kick is taken by the keeper.  After the ball is kicked and leaves the penalty area, a strong gust of wind blows the ball back towards the goal.  In an attempt to stop the ball from entering the net, the keeper dives and touches the ball with his hand however, he is unsuccessful and ball enters the goal, crossing over the goal line, between the goal posts, and under the cross bar.  What do you do???

Q3:

A player is being abused by fans as he tries to take a corner kick. In a rage he turns, aims a foul gesture at them and storms out, straight down the tunnel without taking the kick. You’ve taken no action and he has already disappeared. Can his side bring on a sub? How do you restart play?

**FUTSAL**
Blue 6 is attacking the Red goal.  As Blue 6 crosses over the halfway line and makes his way 7 metres into Red’s half of the pitch, a substitute (Red 12) enters the pitch and carelessly trips Blue 6.  There are no other Red players between the ball and the goal, including the goal keeper (empty net).  What do you do?
